Job Summary:

Assist with all club racquets activities during the summer and seasonal opportunities.  Professional appearance. Prompt and courteous service to members and guests. Adherence to club policies. Maintain safe procedures while teaching and junior camps and clinics.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with all club racquets activities and programs during the summer and Holidays.
  • Professional appearance, prompt and courteous service to members and guests. Adherence to club policies. Maintain safe procedures while teaching and coordinating junior camps and clinics.
  • Continuously create experiences for kids so they must participate in the racquets program.
  • Communication with members during junior clinics if needed.
  • Passing on experience and knowledge to kids during clinics and camps.
  • Enforces club racquets policies and procedures regarding play on the club courts.
  • Assists in racquets shop sales and merchandising.
  • Ensures that all club members and guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention to all their racquets needs.
  • Markets our racquets facilities to members and guests.
  • Inspects all physical areas constantly.
  • Maintains safe and clean grounds.
  • Current USTA Safe-Play certified, or willingness to complete as a pre-condition of employment.
  • Performs all work-related duties as assigned by The Director of Racquets and The Houstonian Leadership.

  • Independent mobility through The Campus.
  • Outdoor heat during summer months requiring adequate fitness.

  • Performance Tracking: There are various apps and wearable devices that can track players' performance metrics such as speed, shot accuracy, and fitness levels. This data can be used to tailor training programs and monitor progress over time.
  • Communication and Scheduling: Utilizing apps or software for scheduling practices, matches, and events can streamline communication with parents and players. It ensures everyone is informed of changes and updates promptly.
  • Virtual Coaching and Learning: Especially useful during times when in-person coaching isn't possible, virtual coaching platforms enable coaches to conduct sessions remotely, offer feedback, and provide video tutorials for skill development.
  • Tournament Management: Software for managing tournaments can simplify registration, scheduling, and result tracking, making the entire tournament experience more organized and efficient.

To perform successfully as a Tennis Teaching Professional, an employee is required to execute the essential functions of the job.
